  • Infrared filter for infrared photography
  • Suitable for IR effects and wood effect
  • Blocks the entire visible light spectrum
  • Enables images with extreme contrasts

B+W infrared filter - the special filter for extreme contrasts.
With the B+W infrared filter, the existing residual sensitization can be used for experimental black and white photos with high contrasts.
Green leaves and grasses are depicted from light to white. A "wood effect" with a dramatic contrast between clouds and sky can be achieved.

PRACTICAL TIPS
IR effect only occurs in bright light
Adjust the image sharpness before screwing on the filter
Note the infrared engraving (if present) on the Lens
Select a small aperture
Determine the exposure time using a test series
Use a tripod due to the long exposure times

NOTE
Check the IR capability of your camera: Hold an IR remote control in the direction of the camera and press a function button. If a white spot of light can be seen on the camera monitor, the camera sensor has sufficient residual sensitivity.
IR images must be subsequently optimized in an image editing program.
The colour image can be converted to black and white.
Increase contrasts automatically, better using a histogram.

IR Black Red 830 (093)
The B+W 093 infrared filter blocks the entire light spectrum. It therefore appears almost black and captures the pure IR range without visible red. It enables image results with extreme contrasts.
