  • Hoya Polarizing Filter
  • reduces light reflections from non-metallic surfaces
  • improves saturation
  • can be used with film and digital cameras

The Hoya UX II is the new edition of the Hoya UX series. Hoya UX II features UV and CIR PL filters.

"UX" in the series name stands for "User eXperience" to refer to the experience users can have with these filters and everything that comes with them. With the name UX, we want to provide users with better individual experiences in all activities related to photography.

It is commonly known that circular polarizing filters (CIR-PL) are used to reduce light reflections from non-metallic surfaces. The maximum point is usually the most commonly used position of the CIR-PL filter when reflections are to be reduced. However, there are cases when reflections need to be increased or adjusted depending on the photographer's intent. In this case, we can say that the CIR-PL filter is not used to reduce reflections, but to control them.

CIR-PL filters can also improve the saturation of the sky and the leaves of the trees by reducing the light reflections of the tiny drops of moisture and dust that are in the air. This highlights the white clouds and increases the overall contrast of the image.

The UX II CIR-PL filter can be used with both film and digital cameras. The polarizing filters are constructed so that there is a polarizing film between the two glasses, and the front frame can be rotated so that the polarizing film can be positioned at the desired angle.

Threads on the edges allow other filters and lens caps to be attached to it. The slim frame of the UX II CIR-PL ensures that vignetting does not occur with wide-angle lenses.
