  • Carbon tripod with ball head
  • 15 kg load capacity
  • 2270 g
  • 50.5 cm pack size
  • 169 cm maximum height

Leofoto Armour LN-284CT carbon tripod with NB-40 ball head
Despite its compactness and lightness, this tripod can take a generous 15 kg load. The range of adjustable heights is between 215 mm and 1,690 mm. This opens up a wide range of applications for photographers. The corresponding NB-40 ball head can even carry and move up to 25 kg. In comparison, its own weight seems almost insignificant. The Armour LN-284CT carbon tripod weighs 1,760 g, the NB-40 ball head 510 g. With a total weight of 2,270 g and a pleasingly short pack size of 505 mm (180° folded legs make it possible), this set is a great companion on photo tours. A multi-tool, a set of stainless steel spikes and a very practical carrying bag are part of the complete equipment.

Leofoto Armour series - lightweight and compact carbon tripods for heavy loads
The tripods in the Armour series from Leofoto also feature no less than ten layers of carbon. The ultra-thin layers of carbon fibers are highly compressed. The result is enormous strength at a very low weight. This is accompanied by structural strength, flexural rigidity and excellent vibration damping - 100% quality. This continues consistently with the metal parts on these carbon tripods: they are neither formed nor forged (as is often the case). Instead, they are milled from aluminum with extreme precision using CNC control. CNC - "Computerized Numerical Control" - means computer-aided numerical control. The carbon tripods in the Leofoto Armour series are perfect for heavy video or photo equipment including long focal lengths. Another unique feature is the safety lock of the interchangeable mounting plate on the open platform, which allows flexible removal at any time. The Armour series also scores with its compactness. This is because the legs are folded through 180° for transportation. The Leofoto ball heads supplied with these carbon tripods are thus enclosed by the legs. And last but not least, one of the legs can always be converted into a monopod. Is there any more flexibility with all the lightness?
Each tripod leg consists of four segments that glide smoothly and cannot twist. The leg segments are all equipped with non-slip rubberized twist locks for quick assembly and disassembly of the tripods. Rubber feet, which can also be replaced with the stainless steel spikes supplied, reduce unfavorable vibrations. Snow and sand feet are also available to purchase as an option.

Leofoto Armour LN-284CT carbon tripod - lightweight, but good for difficult terrain
Strong ten layers of carbon give the tripod enormous stability and sturdiness, an advantage especially on uneven terrain. The diameters (28, 25, 22 and 19 mm) of the four tripod leg segments can withstand a lot, which is also reflected in the tripod's high load capacity of 15 kg. The segments always glide smoothly without twisting. With its hand-friendly rubberized twist locks, the LN-284CT can be easily adjusted to the desired length. And of course the built-in center column has the usual 3/8" screw.

Leofoto NB-40 ball head - a small powerhouse with a lot of comfort
It shines with a remarkably high load capacity of 25 kg, which is hardly noticeable with its ball only 40 mm thick and a height of just 100 mm. As usual with Leofoto, the NB-40 is CNC-machined from black anodized aircraft aluminium and is also equipped with a spirit level and 3/8" tripod thread. The ball head rotates smoothly and a scale facilitates precise adjustment. The ball can be tilted by up to 90°. Quick camera mounting and dismounting are no problem. The Arca-Swiss NP-50 quick-release coupling makes it possible. This ball head also "plays" a perfect double with the monopod from the Armour LN-284CT tripod.
