Developed for photography and videography
This fisheye from Samyang was developed to meet the requirements of photographers and videographers. The aperture can be continuously adjusted from f/3.8 to f/22. The focus control is soft and smooth. This enables smooth focus tracking for video recordings. The aperture ring and focus ring have a gear ring and are therefore optimized for use with follow focus systems, especially for filming with DSLRs. The distance and aperture scales are arranged on the side for better legibility.

Unique shots
The fisheye Lens from Samyang offers a completely new view of things. Thanks to the unusual perspective, there are no more limits to creativity. Thanks to the special depth of field and the extremely wide angle of view, all possibilities are open to experimental videographers and photographers. The Samyang Fish-Eye has a focal length of just 8 mm. Even at a minimum distance of 30 cm, exciting wide-angle shots can be captured in brilliant sharpness. The high aperture of f/3.8 enables outstanding shots even in less favorable lighting conditions.

New image composition options for moving and still images
The Samyang Fisheye offers videographers a wide range of composition options, especially for spherical panoramas. Straight lines that do not pass through the center of the image are curved. The distortion is strongly barrel-shaped. This special type of lens has a particularly short focal length for its image format size, which means that the image is depicted with curved shapes. This gives images taken with the Samyang Fisheye its typical spherically distorted perspective.

High-quality workmanship
The Lens has a very high-quality construction. The metal housing is very robust and impresses with its elegant appearance. The glass lenses of the Lens are coated, resulting in an excellent contrast and sharpness range as well as a balanced color balance. The particularly high-quality optics of the lens ensure optimum image results. A lens hood prevents stray light and lens reflections from entering from the side.

Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor
Lenses developed for cameras with an APS-C sensor can sometimes be used on cameras with a full-frame sensor (mainly using an adapter). However, due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C Lens, the edges will be black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. The use of APS-C Lens on full-frame cameras is possible, but not recommended.

Please note:
With full-frame cameras, the image section must be determined in post-processing
