Externally, the Voigtländer 35 mm / 1:1.4 Nokton VM II remains almost unchanged from its predecessor, the most striking changes relate exclusively to the inner workings. The optical design has been recalculated and adapted to the requirements of the sensors of modern digital cameras. Furthermore, the optical calculation has been optimized with the aim of improving the focus accuracy when using "Live View". The image characteristics at open aperture with the beautiful and soft bokeh remain the same as with its predecessor.

The Voigtländer 35 mm / 1:1.4 Nokton VM II can also be used without any problems on numerous current digital cameras with MFT or E bayonet using an (optional) adapter.
