The radically optimized battery efficiency of the HERO12 Black, together with the included Enduro 1,720 mAh battery, doubles the video runtime at 5.3K60 shots per charge. You can now record continuously for 70 minutes at 5.3K60 (the highest setting). At 5.3K30 it is over 1.5 hours and at 1080p30 even over 2.5 hours.⁶ Thanks to advanced technology, Enduro is also more powerful at low temperatures than previous GoPro cameras and batteries.
High Dynamic Range for videos + photos
The HERO12 Black sets new standards in terms of image quality with HDR for videos (5.3K and 4K) and photos. HDR is ideal for environments where there are both shadows and bright light, as it captures the fine details of the scene that would normally disappear in the darkness of the shadows or be lost in the bright areas of your shot. The result is exceptionally dynamic footage with lifelike color and detail.

With a 36% larger field of view for widescreen shots and an even 48% larger field of view for portrait shots⁸, the Max Lens Mod 2.0 not only delivers particularly impressive videos in breathtaking 4K60 resolution, it also offers the most powerful stabilization with Max HyperSmooth. 8-bit, 10-bit + log video
With HERO12 Black, you can choose between 8-bit or 10-bit color and log video recording. With 10-bit color, over 1 billion colors can be displayed - offering improved color depth and smoother gradations to make your videos look even more realistic. 8-bit color, on the other hand, allows for smaller file sizes. Advanced users can use log video to get more detailed footage and make the necessary color adjustments in post-production.
Timecode Sync
Experienced users who use multiple HERO12 Black cameras can now sync their cameras to a timecode, making it much easier to post-produce footage from multiple cameras. This works with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier and other editing programs - for even more efficient post-production.
Bluetooth audio connectivity
With Bluetooth audio, you can connect the HERO12 Black wirelessly to compatible devices. For example, vloggers can pair it with a wireless external microphone to enhance audio recordings when describing a scene or conducting interviews. Night Effects Time Lapse + Photo
The HERO12 has three new Time Lapse and Photo modes that let you get creative after dark. Startrails mode uses the Earth's rotation and stars to capture beautiful light trails in the night sky. With "Light Painting" you can create brilliant brushstroke effects with moving lights. "Auto light trails" records impressive light trails with night-time traffic.
Power tools with new interval photo function
With the power tools, every shot becomes a masterpiece. The new Interval Photo feature can be set to capture all the action by taking photos at pre-set intervals while you focus on your favorite activities. HindSight captures the scene up to 30 seconds before you start shooting - just in case you press the shutter button too late. With the "Scheduled Recording" function, you can set your GoPro to turn itself on and record up to 24 hours in advance. And "Record Duration" makes it easy to record video clips from 15 seconds to 3 hours long.
Highlight videos are automatically sent to your phone²
Simply plug in your GoPro to charge while it's connected to your home Wi-Fi. While it charges, your footage is automatically uploaded to the cloud and then turned into a highlight video with matching music and great effects. The videos are automatically sent to your smartphone so you can share them quickly and easily.

The GoPro Quik app offers a range of easy-to-use tools to help you edit your footage like a pro. You can customize the highlight videos automatically created by the app or create your own videos from scratch.
